Creating Futures 2025: Fully Funded Art of Narrative Program in Austria

The theme for 2025 is “Creating Futures: Art of Narrative,” which focuses on exploring the stories behind art and how they shape our understanding of the world. This theme encourages using creativity—whether through writing, painting, music, or other forms of art—to envision and create a better future. By harnessing the power of storytelling, the program aims to inspire change, promote positive transformation, and combat misinformation. The program will select 40 participants from across the globe, including Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. The Salzburg Creating Futures: Art of Narrative Program will take place in Austria from April 6 to April 11, 2025.

Program Location

The 4-day program will take place at Schloss Leopoldskron, home of the Salzburg Global Seminar, in Salzburg, Austria.

Artists can help fix this! They can use their creativity to tell stories that show the truth about the world, even the messy parts. They can help us understand each other better and work together to solve problems.

This program in Salzburg wants to teach artists how to use their power to make the world a better place. They want to help artists tell stories that are fair, honest, and respectful of everyone.

Eligibility 

• The Program is open to applicants from the Majority of the world including Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and parts of the Middle East.
• Must be available for the full program.
• Be able to secure a Visa for Austria.
• There is no application fee.
